What People Are Saying about the "Who’s Watching?" Campaign

  • "We hope the “Who’s Watching Charlottesville?” website continues to serve as a gateway for Charlottesville area residents to learn how best to protect themselves and their loved ones online," said Shirley Payne, Director of Security and Policy at the University of Virginia. “This site features lots of content and an award-winning short video on the dangers of revealing too much on social networking websites.”
  • "This year, we hope the 'Who's Watching?' campaign encourages people to recognize that the Web is an incredible community with much to offer, but like any community, we must understand how to protect ourselves and our loved ones from potential threats," said Leslie Robinson, Vice President of Information Systems at the UVA Community Credit Union.
  • “It’s important to learn as much as we can about what’s happening online so that we teach our kids how to make smart choices when they’re on the Internet,” noted Mark Leach, Network Administrator at Charlottesville City Schools, and a father of three young daughters.
  • "Taking just a few simple steps to protect yourself online can make an enormous difference," added Lee Catlin, Community Relations Manager for Albemarle County.
